“The treasury of Sacred Music is to be preserved and fostered with great care. Choirs must be diligently developed, especially in Cathedral Churches…”
(Sacrosanctum Concilium, Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, 120)
HELP US EXPAND OUR REACH! Given the Music Ministry's limited annual resources, high holy day liturgies naturally take priority. With a larger fund base, professional musicians could be added to the core Sunday Masses, too. Choir member blends of professionals and volunteers, typical of Catholic cathedrals in the US, will not only elevate the quality of Sunday liturgies to the benefit of all congregants, but the youth and adult choir volunteers will continue to learn and confidently take on works that truly beautify the liturgy, the worship of God and Christ’s primary means for our transformation. Beauty attracts.
